IBRAHIM ALAYHIS SALAAM MADE A PLAN!!
An idea struck in the mind of Ibrahim ‘alayhis salaam to prove to his community that the idols they worshipped are useless and cannot harm him anyhow.
He knew that there was going to be a GREAT FESTIVAL at the bank of the river (as usual) which the whole community attends.
So when the day came, people asked him that isnt he coming?
"He (Ibrahim Alayhis Salaam) replied: Verily! I am sick."(37:89)
"So they (people) turned away from him and departed" (37:90)
Ibrahim alayhis salaam didnt go because his plan was to destroy the idols in the temple.
📍When Ibrahim alayhis salaam said he was ill, he didnt mean physically but mentally because of the wrong- doings of people.
So sometimes, when it is necessary to hide a truth, such incomplete sentences are permissible and this is known as TAURIA which is not a form of lying.
