IBRAHIM ALAYHIS SALAAM BROKE THE IDOLS!!
When the whole city left for the festival, Ibrahim alayhis salaam went inside the temple where all the idols were kept.
He looked at the FOOD laid in front of them as offerings.
He found it too funny that how people treat these useless statues as if they have an ability to eat or hear.
"..He (Ibrahim) turned to their gods and said: Will you not eat (the offerings)?" (37:91)
When no answer came, he said-
"What is the matter with you that you dont speak?" (37:92)
And then with an axe,
he struck the idols and broke them into pieces with his right hand.
"..He turned upon them(idols) striking with (his) right hand" (37:93)
But he left the biggest of them and hung the axe on him giving an impression that he broke them all.
"So he (Ibrahim) broke them to pieces except the biggest of them, that they (people) might turn to it" (21:58)
[Jab puri qaum mele ke liye nikal gayi to Ibrahim alayhis salaam apni qaum ki ibadat-gah mei gaye jaha saare but rakhe hue the.
Unhone dekha ke inn buto ke aage KHANA rakha hua tha jo logo ne bhet ke taur par chadaaya hua tha.
Unhe ye baat badi mazaakiya lag rahi thi ke log kis tarah se in buto ko izzat karte hai aur aise pesh aate hai jaise wo waqai khaate ho aur sunte ho.
Unhone un buto se kaha: Ke kya tum ye nahi khaoge?
Jab koi jawaab nahi aaya to unhone kaha:
Ke aakhir kya masla hai ke tum bolte nahi ho?
Phir Ibrahim alayhis salaam ne apne seedhe hath se ek badi kulhaadhi se un sari murtiyo ko tod daala siwaye inke bade wale ilah ke jiske upar unhone ye auzaar latka diya take sabko ye lage ke isne hi baqi sabko toda hai.]
