A MAJOR TASK!!
Digging a trench was not an easy task.
Muslims worked days and nights to dig a 60 feet deep trench.
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ not only supervised, but he equally participated in digging the trench.
Severely COLD WEATHER and EXTREME HUNGER could not stop the Muslims from achieving their target.
Due to extreme hunger, people used to tie up a STONE SLAB with their BELLIES (stomach) to control hunger.
When one of them showed this to Prophet ﷺ, he lifted his shirt and people saw that Prophet ﷺ tied 2 slabs of stones to his belly.
[Khandaq khodna koi asaan kaam nahi tha.
Musalmaano ne apne din raat ek kar diye taake wo 60 feet gehra khandaq khod sake.
Nabi ﷺ ne naa sirf logo ki rehnumai ki, lekin wo sath sath kaam mei shareek rahe.
BE-INTEHA SARDI aur SHADEED BHOOK se bhi Musalmaano ka hausla kam nahi hua aur wo apne maqsad ko poora karne mei mashghool rahe.
Shadeed bhook ki wajah se, logo ne apne PETO par PATTHAR ka takhta (sil/slab) baandha hua tha taake wo apni bhook ko bardasht kar sake.
