YUSUF ‘ALAYHIS SALAAM MADE A REQUEST!!
Yusuf ‘alayhis salaam requested the prisoner who was going to be saved to mention his name to the king so that he may look into the whole matter, see the oppression done to him & free him.
But when the cupbearer was free from the prison, he forgot the request of Yusuf ‘alayhis salaam & he (Yusuf Alayhis Salaam) remained in prison for few more years.
Qur'aan mentions-
"And he (Yusuf) said to the one whom he knew was going to be saved: Mention me to your king. But shaitan made him forget to mention it to his king. So he (Yusuf) stayed in prison for few more years."
(Qur’an 12:42)
[Yusuf ‘alayhis salaam ne us qaidi se ek darkhwast kari jo riyah hone wala tha ke jab tum bahar jao to apne badshah se mera zikr karna..ho sakta hai wo pure mamle ki tehqeeq kare, mere upar hone wale zulm ko dekhe aur mujhe yaha se riyah karva de.
Lekin jab faisla ho gaya aur wo shakhs riyah ho gaya to shaitan ne use baadshah se Yusuf ‘alayhis salaam ka zikr karna bhulva diya.
Aakhirkaar, Yusuf ‘alayhis salaam ko qaid khane mei kuch aur saal rehna padha.]
