IBRAHIM ALAYHIS SALAAM QUESTIONED HIS FATHER & THE SOCIETY!!
As Ibrahim Alayhis Salaam was growing up, his curiosity was increasing and a point came when he started to question his father and the society as to why they worship these idols?
Quraan mentions-
"When he (Ibrahim) said to his father and his people: What are these images to which you are devoted?" (21:52)
"They said: We found our fathers worshipping them" (21:53)
He kept on questioning them in different manner but found the same answer.
He said to them-
"Do they hear you when you call (on them)?
"Or do they benefit you or do they harm you?"
"They said- Nay! But we found our fathers doing so" (26:72-74)
This baseless answer made Ibrahim Alayhis Salaam more firm in his belief and he prayed to the creator to guide him on the straight path.
[Jaise jaise Ibrahim Alayhis Salaam bade hote jaa rahe the waise waise unki baichani badti jaa rahi thi aur ek waqt aisa aaya ke unhone apne walid aur apni qaum se iske baare mei sawaal karna shuru kara.
Unhone poocha ke aap log inn murtiyo ki ibadat kyu karte hai?
Unhone jawaab diya ke: "Humne apne baap dadao ko ye karte dekha tha."
Ibrahim ‘alayhis salaam ne doosre tariqo se bhi poochne ki koshish ki lekin jawaab wohi milta.
Ibrahim Alayhis Salaam ne unse pucha: ke kya ye murtiya aapki baat sun sakti hai? Aur kya ye aapko nafa aur nuksaan de sakti hai?
To qaum ne jawaab diya..ke nahi! Lekin humne apne baap dadao ko inhe poojte hue dekha tha.
Aise be-bunyaad jawaab ne Ibrahim Alayhis Salaam ko aur pukhta kar diya aur unke imaan mei aur izaafa ho gaya. Unhone seedhe raaste ki rehnumai ke liye apne Rabb se dua maangi.]
