THE GOLDEN BOWL WAS MISSING!!
In the morning, after giving grains to all his brothers, Yusuf ‘alayhis salaam put a golden bowl into Benyamin's bag.
This was a part of his plan.
So when the brothers set out for home , they were called back by officials saying that the king’s bowl was missing and the blame was on them.
Qur'aan mentions-
"So when he (Yusuf ‘alayhis salaam) furnished them with their provisions, he put the (golden) bowl into his brother's bag, then a crier cried: O you in the caravan! Surely you are the thieves."
(12:70)
The brothers were shocked and defended themselves that they were not thieves and had no knowledge of the missing bowl.
Brothers said-
"What is that you have missed?"(12:71)
They replied-
"We have missed the golden bowl of the king (our master) and for whoever will give it to us, (will be rewarded) by an extra camel load (of grains)" (12:72)
Brothers replied-
"By ALLAH, Indeed you know that we came not to make mischief in the land & we are not thieves"
(12: 73)
They said-
"Then what shall be the penalty of him, if you are (proved to be) liars?" (12:74)
Brothers replied-
"The penalty should be that he, in whose bag it is found, should be held for the punishment (as a slave)."
(12:75)
☆In the law of Palestine at that time, the punishment of stealing was slavery, so Yusuf ‘alayhis salaam planned to keep Benyamin with him by this plan.
[Subah savere apne bhaiyyo ke thailo mei anaaj rakhne ke baad, Yusuf ‘alayhis salaam ne Benyamin ke thaile mei apna sone ka pyaala bhi rakh diya.
Ye unki tadbeer ka ek hissa tha.
Jab unke bhai ravaana ho chuke, to raaste mei Yusuf ‘alayhis salaam ke kuch aadmiyo ne unke bhaiyyo ko pakad liya aur ye ilzam lagaya ke tum log chor ho.
Sab bhai chauk gaye aur poochne lage ke kya chiz gum hoyi hai?
Unhone jawaab diya ke humare baadshah (aaka) ka sone ka pyaala chori hua hai aur jo koi bhi wo hume dega to hum use ooth bhar ghalla aur denge.
Bhaiyyo ne jawaab diya ke qasam ALLAH ki, aap to jaante ho ke hum yaha fasaad karne nahi aaye the aur hum chor nahi hai.
Un aadmiyo ne kaha- ke agar tum jhoote hue to kya saza hogi?
Bhaiyyo ne jawab diya- Ke saza wohi insaan hoga jiske paas wo paya jayega yani us insaan ko hi ghulaami ke liye chod diya jayega.
☆Us waqt Falasteen ke qanoon mei, jo koi chori karta tha to uski saza mei use ghulaam bana diya jata tha aur yahi tabdeer thi Yusuf ‘alayhis salaam ki Benyamin ko apne paas rokne ki.]
