YAQOOB ‘ALAYHIS SALAAM GOT BLIND!!
Yaqoob ‘alayhis salaam had full faith on ALLAH but he was a father too who was really very upset with the loss of his sons & was missing them a lot especially Yusuf ‘alayhis salaam!!
He cried and cried so much that his eyes turned white and he got blind.
Qur'aan mentions-
"And he (Yaqoob) turned away from them (his sons) and said: Alas/ my grief for Yusuf! And he lost his sight because of the sorrow he was suppressing (controlling)" (12:84)
His sons again became jealous and angry by hearing the name of Yusuf (Alayhis Salaam) from the mouth of their father.
They said-
"By ALLAH! You will never stop remembering Yusuf until you become weak with old age or until you die" (12:85)
Yaqoob Alayhis salaam replied-
"I only complain of my grief & sorrow to ALLAH, and I know from ALLAH that which you know not." (12:86)
[ Yaqoob ‘alayhis salaam ko ALLAH par pura tawakkul tha lekin wo ek walid bhi the jinhe bohot sakht taklif thi apne beto ke door ho jane ki.
Wo un dono ko be-hadd yaad kar rahe the khaas taur par Yusuf ‘alayhis salaam ko aur wo unki yaad mei itna roye ki unki aakhe safed ho gayi aur wo na-beena (andhe) ho gaye.
Phir ek baar unke baaqi beto ke andar se hasad aur gusse ki aag bhadak uthi jab unhone apne walid ke muh se Yusuf ‘alayhis salaam ka naam suna aur wo kehne lage-
"Qasam ALLAH ki! Aap Yusuf ko yaad karna kabhi nahi chodenge yaha tak ke aap budhaape ki waja se kamzori ki inteha par pohoch na jaye ya fanah na ho jaye"
Ye sunkar Yaqoob ‘alayhis salaam ne kaha-
"Beshak mai apni pareshani aur gham ki shikayat sirf aur sirf ALLAH se hi karta hu aur mai ALLAH ki taraf se wo jaanta hu jo tum nahi jaante."]
