7) CASTING OF LOTS!!

To decide that who will be the guardian of Maryam ‘alayhis salaam, the people of Bani Israel decided to cast the lots.

For this, they took some wooden pens and wrote their names on the pens.

Then they put it in a box, and someone was called to pick up a pen from it.

The name of Zakaria ‘alayhis salaam came.

But the people of Bani Israel did not agree and decided to cast the lots with a different way.

[Ye tay karne ke liye ke kon Maryam ‘alayhis salaam ki kafaalat karega, Bani Israel ne ye faisla kiya ke wo Qurra andaazi karenge.

Uske liye unhone tay kiya ke lakdi ki kuch qalam lekar usme apne apne naam likhe.

Phir unhone naam likh kar un sabko ek bakse (box) mei daala aur usme se ek uthvaya gaya.

Usme Zakaria ‘alayhis salaam ka naam aaya.

Lekin Bani Israel nahi maani aur kisi doosri tareeke se qurra karvane ka faisla tay kiya.]
