8) A FINAL DECISION!!
This time the people of Bani Israel decided that they will put all their pens in the river.
The pen that would swim against the current of the water would win the guardianship of Maryam ‘alayhis salaam!!
Again, it was the pen of Zakariya ‘alayhis salaam that won by swimming against the current.
Still stubborn, they demanded a third round.
This time, they decided that the pen which would swim with the current of the water would win.
This time also, it was only Zakariya ‘alayhis salaam's pen that won and swam with the current.
So the final decision was made that Zakaria ‘alayhis salaam will be the guardian of Maryam ‘alayhis salaam.
Qur'aan mentions-
ALLAH said to Prophet Mohammad ( May peace be upon him):
"And you were not with them when they cast their pens as to which of them should be responsible for Maryam. Nor were you with them when they disputed. "(3:44)
[Doosri baar, Bani Israel ke logo ne ye faisla kiya ke wo apni apni qalam nadi mei daale phir jiski qalam pani ke bahao (flow) ke sath nahi chalegi yani doosri taraf chalegi wo jeet jayega.
Zakaria ‘alayhis salaam ki hi qalam thi jo paani ke bahao ke sath nahi chal rahi thi to isme bhi wo hi jeet gaye.
Lekin Bani Israel abhi bhi hatdharmi mei thi aur teesri baar qurra ka mutalba kar rahi thi.
Is baar unhone tay kiya ke jiski qalam pani ke bahao ke sath chalegi wo hi jeetega.
To iss akhri baar bhi Zakaria ‘alayhis salaam ki hi qalam aisi thi jo pani ke bahao ke sath chal rahi thi to wo jeet gaye.
To akhirkaar ye faisla ho gaya ke Zakaria ‘alayhis salaam hi Maryam ‘alayhis salaam ki kafaalat karenge.
Qur'aan mei iska zikr ALLAH ne Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam se kara hai ke hum aapko unka qissa bayaan kar rahe hai jabke aap waha mojood nahi the jab wo log qurra andaazi kar rahe the (qalam ke sath) ke kon Maryam ki kafaalat karega.
