A DECISION WAS MADE!!
According to the traditions of that time, this was an indication that the boat carried a sinner and there was an extra passenger who was not meant to be there.
The passengers and crew consulted with each other, and decided to DRAW LOTS to decide who should be thrown out.
First lot came against Yunus ‘alayhis salaam but everyone thought that there was a mistake because he was a pious man.

Then finally, third lot was done which also came against Yunus ‘alayhis salaam.
