●This community lived on rocky areas that is why they were also known as ASHAAB AL HIJR (The people of Hijr/rocks)

Quraan-15:80

[•Sualih a.s. tarteeb ke aitbaar se paanchve Nabi hai.

•Unki qaum ka naam THAMOOD tha (jiska talaffuz hai- "Samood")

•Ye qaum pathrili ilaaqo mei rehti thi isliye is qaum ko ASHAAB AL HIJR bhi kaha jata tha.]
