THE TEACHINGS TO EARLY BELIEVERS!!
After Surah Mudassir, the next surah that was revealed to Muhammad ﷺ was SURAH FATIHA.
After that, Jibrail Alayhis salaam once came and taught the way of ABLUTION (wudhu/wuzu) & SALAAT (namaaz) to Muhammad ﷺ.
Muhammad ﷺ taught Surah Fatiha and the ways of Ablution & Namaaz to believers.
Muqatil bin Sulaiman said:
"Salaat was performed as a ritual at an early stage of the Islamic Call, 2 rak'ah namaaz in the morning and 2 rakah in the evening."
(Tafsir Ibn Kathir)
This means that initially, only 2 rakah prayer was performed by believers before the commandment of 5 prayers was made obligatory.
The believers went to far far areas to perform their prayers because till now, they were not able to disclose their new faith in public.
[Surah Mudassir ke baad jo Surah Nabi ﷺ par nazil hui thi wo thi SURAH FATIHA.
Uske baad, Jibrail Alayhis salaam ek baar aaye aur unhone Muhammad ﷺ ko WUDHU (wuzu) aur SALAAT (namaaz) ka tareeka sikhaya.
Muhammad ﷺ ne Surah Fatiha, aur Wudhu aur Namaaz ka tareeka Imaan walo ko sikhaya.
Muqatil bin Sulaiman ne kaha:
" Islami daur ki shuruwaat mei Salaat ek rasmi taur par ada ki jaati thi, 2 RAK'AH SUBAH KE WAQT AUR 2 RAK'AH SHAAM KE WAQT." (Tafsir Ibn Kathir)
Iska matlab ye hai ke shuru shuru mei jab 5 waqto ki namaaz farz nahi hui thi, to sirf imaan walo ko 2 rakah namaaz padhne ka hukum diya gaya tha.
