16) THE OPPOSERS!!
During all these years, Isa ‘alayhis salaam preached the message of ALLAH to Bani Israel through the book of Injeel.
The book of Injeel made some of the things lawful that were forbidden in the book of Tauraat.
When Isa ‘alayhis salaam announced that he was a prophet and that he had received a new book, many of the people following the Tauraat did not like this.
They wanted to stay with the Tauraat and refused to give up following its rules to follow the rules in the Injeel.
Qur'aan mentions-
"(Isa ‘alayhis salaam said):
And I have come confirming that which was before me of the Tauraat and to make lawful to you part of which was forbidden to you and I have come to you with a proof from your Rabb.
So fear ALLAH and obey me." (3:50)
These people who do not accept the Prophethood of Isa ‘alayhis salaam and the book of Injeel are now called as the JEWS and those who believe him are now called as the CHRISTIANS.

Jab Isa ‘alayhis salaam ne logo ko ye khabar sunayi ke wo ALLAH ne Nabi hai aur unpar ek nayi kitaab nazil hui hai jo kuch chizo ko unke liye halaal kar rahi hai jo isse pehle unpar haraam thi to bohot se logo ne is baat par aitraaz kiya.
Wo apni kitaab ke sath hi chalna chahte the aur naye paighaam ko manne se inkaar kar rahe the.
Yahi log jo Isa ‘alayhis salaam ki nabuwat ko aur Injeel ke paighamat ko nahi maante, unhe aaj ke daur mei YAHOOD kaha jaata hai aur jo unhe maante hai unhe aaj ke daur mei NASARA kaha jata hai.]
