17) THE SUPPORTERS!!
But at that time, there were only handful of people who believed Isa ‘alayhis salaam.
These people were known as the HAWARIYOON (the disciples or the followers of Isa alayhis salaam).
Hawari means WHITE.
So these people were known as Hawari because either they wore White colour clothes, or they had a pure (white) heart full of faith or they were washer-men who washed the clothes of people to white.
Qur'aan mentions-
"Then when Isa came to know of their disbelief (the majority of the community), he said: Who will be my helpers in ALLAH'S cause?
Al- Hawariyoon said: We are the helpers of ALLAH, we believe in ALLAH and bear witness that we are muslims (the submissive)." (3:52)
"Our Rabb! We believe in what You have sent down and we follow the messenger so write us down among those who bear witness." (3:53)

In logo ko HAWARIYOON kaha jata hai (yani Isa ‘alayhis salaam ke pairokaar ya madadgaar)
Hawari ka mayna hota hai SAFED.

Qur'aan mei aata hai-
"Jab Isa ko ahsaas hua unke (yani qaum ke zyadatar logo ke) kufr ka to unhone kaha: Kon hoga ALLAH ke liye mera madadgaar?
Kaha Hawariyo ne: Hum hai madadgaar.
Hum imaan laye ALLAH par aur hum gawahi dete hai ke hum musalmaan hai (yani ALLAH ki khatir supurt hone wale)."
"Ae humare Rabb! Hum imaan laye uspar jo nazil kiya gaya aur hum pairvi karte hai rasool ki, pas likh de hume gawaho ke sath (yani imaan walo ke sath.)"]
