THE CALL FROM MOUNT SAFA!!
Now, the revelation came to Muhammad ﷺ to invite all the people openly.
It was said to him-
"Therefore announce openly that which you are commanded and turn away from the Mushrikoon (polytheists)."
(15:94)
For this, Muhammad ﷺ proceeded to MOUNT SAFA, a small hill near Kabah and called people from the top and said-
"Ya Sabahah!" (This word was used to alert people to some serious issue)
Then he began calling every tribe and every family by their names.
People gathered in large numbers to see what had happened.
When they all came, Muhammad ﷺ said:
"If I told you that horsemen were coming to attack you from other side of the valley, would you believe me?"
"Yes" they all said.
"We have always found you honest."
Then he said-
"I am here to warn you before a severe punishment falls upon you. I see the enemy coming towards you and I want to protect you from him.."
After this, Muhammad ﷺ asked people to protect themselves by declaring:
LA ILAHA ILLALLAH MUHAMMAD UR RASOOLULLAH
(There is no god but Only ALLAH and Muhammad ﷺ is His Messenger.)
He explained them that this Shahadah (testimony) was the only way to succeed in this world and hereafter.
Then he tried to explain them that if they continue to do Shirk (polytheism) and reject his messages, then they would face ALLAH's punishment and he (Prophet) would not be able to save them.
[Ab ALLAH ki taraf se Muhammad ﷺ ko hukum aa gaya tha ke ab wo apna paigham khule- aam sab tak pohcha de.
ALLAH ne farmaya-
"(Ae Nabi) Khol kar bayaan kar dijiye jiska aapko hukum diya gaya hai aur airaaz bartiye mushrikeen se."
Iss baat par amal karte hue, Muhammad ﷺ SAFA PAHAAD ki taraf gaye aur uske upar chadke waha se sabko mukhatib karne lage-
Ya Sabahah! (Ye lafz tab istemaal hota tha jab logo ko kisi khatre ke baare mei aagah karna hota tha taake sab mutawajje ho.)
Phir wo har qabile aur har khaandaan ke logo ko ek-ek karke naam se bulane lage.
Log awaaze sunkar tezi se waha pohche taake dekhe ke hua kya hai.
Jab wo sab ikatha ho gaye to Muhammad ﷺ ne kaha-
"Agar mai aap sabse kahu ke vaadi ke uss taraf se kuch ghud-sawaar hum par hamla karne ke liye aa rahe hai to kya aap log meri baat manenge?"
"Bilkul"..sabne kaha. "Humne humesha aapko saccha paaya hai."
Phir Muhammad ﷺ ne kaha-
"Mai yaha aap sabko ek azaab ke baare mei aagah karne aaya hu usse pehle ke wo nazil ho jaye.
Mai ek aise dushman ko aapki taraf aate dekh raha hu aur mai chahta hu ke mai aapko usse bacha lu."
Uske baad Muhammad ﷺ ne logo se arz farmaya ke-
" LA ILAHA ILLALLAH MUHAMMAD UR RASOOLULLAH kehdo!
(Nahi koi Ilah magar ALLAH hi aur Muhammad ﷺ unke Rasool hai)
Kyuki yahi SHAHADAH (gawahi) tumhe dunya aur akhirat mei KAAMYAABI de sakti hai."
Uske baad unhone un sabko ye samjhaya ke agar unhone Shirk karna nahi choda aur unke paigham ka inkaar kar diya to unhe ALLAH ki taraf se shadeed azaab ka saamna karna padega aur Wo (yani Nabi) tab unhe nahi bacha payenge.]
