THE REACTION OF PEOPLE!!
All the people were amazed to hear what Muhammad ﷺ said.
They did not respond immediately except Abu Lahab.
Abu Lahab at this point too openly criticised his nephew & said-
"Perish you all the day! (May you be destroyed/ May you be cursed)
Have you gathered us us for such a (nonsense) thing?"
ALLAH immediately revealed the verses on that occasion:
"Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab..."
(111:1)
The audience dispersed without knowing what to say there but once they returned to their homes, they began discussing with each other what Muhammad ﷺ had said and what has happened to him.
From that time, the enmity & opposition was started by many people especially by the tribal chiefs.
Whenever, Muhammad ﷺ passed by them, they would say-
"Is this the one appointed as the Messenger of ALLAH?"
"Is this the one who is addressed from the sky?"
"Abdul Muttalib's boy is speaking from the sky."
Etc etc
[ Sab log Muhammad ﷺ ki baat sunkar hairat mei padh gaye lekin us waqt unhone koi fauri radde- amal (reaction) zaahir nahi kiya siwaye Abu Lahab ke.
Abu Lahab uss waqt bhi khamosh na raha aur waha par sabke saamne apne bhatije ko kosne laga aur kehne laga-
"Barbaadi/ Lanat ho tumhare liye!
Tumne kya hume iss bekaar baat ke liye yaha jama kiya tha?"
Usi waqt ALLAH ki taraf se ayat nazil hui jisme kaha gaya-
"BARBAADI HO ABU LAHAB KE DONO HATHO PAR.."
(111:1)
Phir bina kuch kahe sab log apne apne ghar chale gaye kyuki unhe samajh nahi aa raha tha ke kya baat kari jaaye.
Lekin jaise hi wo apne gharo ki taraf palte to aapas mei baate karne lage ke Muhammad ﷺ ne ye kya kaha hai aur unhe ho kya gaya hai?
Usi waqt se phir bohot se logo ki dushmani aur mukhalifat shuru ho gayi khaas taur pe qabilo ke sardaaro ki taraf se jinhone Nabi ko taane dene shuru kar diye.
Jab bhi Muhammad ﷺ unke paas se guzarte to wo kehne lagte-
"Kya ye wohi hai jo ALLAH ka Rasool banakar bheja gaya hai?
"Kya ye wohi hai jiske liye aasmaan se Wahi utarti hai?"
"Ye Abdul Mutallib ka ladka aasmaan se baate karne laga hai"
Wagera wagera!!]
