On that day, they gathered the people and one of them said:
"O people of Makkah! Shall we eat and drink while Banu Hashim die of hunger, unable to even buy or sell?
By god I will tear the paper into pieces."
Gradually many people stood up against this unfair boycot.
But Abu Jahl opposed them severely and challenged them by saying that the paper will never be torn and removed from Kabah.

" Ae Makkah walo! Kya hum khaate peete rahe aur waha Banu Hashim bhookmari se mar jaye jinhe kuch khareedne aur bechne ki bhi ijazat na ho?
Khuda ki qasam mai us kaghaz ke tukde tukde kar dunga."
Dheere dheere bohot se log bhi is zalimana or na-insaaf boycott ke khilaaf khade hone lage.
Lekin Abu Jahl ne sabki mukhalifat kari aur chunoti di ke chahe kuch bhi ho jaye wo kaghaz na tukde tukde kiya jayega aur naahi Kabah se hataya jayega.]
