Seerah- Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Part 1)

HASHIM was the GREAT GRANDFATHER of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

He lived in Makkah.

He belonged to a wealthy family and had a great personality.

He had a generous heart and served people alot especially the travellers and pilgrims.

His first name was Amr but he was called Hashim because he had been in the practice of CRUMBLING BREADS/ROTIS (for the pilgrims)

He fed them those crumbs dipped in the gravy.

It was in his name only that the family of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is called HASHIMITE family.

Wo Makkah mei rehte the aur ek maaldaar ghar se talluq rakhte the aur unki shakhsiyat bhi bohot azeem thi.

Unka dil bohot naram tha aur wo logo ki khoob khidmat karte khaas taur pe musafiro ki aur mehmano ki.

Unka pehla naam to Amr tha lekin unko Hashim isliye kaha jata kyuki wo ROTIYO KE TUKDE KARTE aur use shorbe mei duba kar musafiro ko kasrat se khilate.

Unhi ke naam ki waja se hi Nabi ﷺ aur unke gharwalo ko HAASHMI kaha jata tha.]
