THE FIRST REVELATION!!
Jibrail Alayhis salaam squeezed Muhammad ﷺ for the third time, released him and then said:
• "Read! In the Name of your Rabb, Who has created (all that exists), Who has created man from a clot (a piece of thick blood). Read! and your Rabb is the Most Generous."
[96:1-3]
These are versus from Surah AL-ALAQ which were first revealed to Muhammad ﷺ.
Trembling in a state of constant fear, Muhammad ﷺ repeated the verses with Jibrail Alayhis salaam.
☆ Muhammad ﷺ was an UMMI which means he was an illiterate.
He could not read or write.
So this is why when Jibrail Alayhis salaam told him to read, he said I cannot read.
[Jibrail Alayhis salaam ne Muhammad ﷺ ko teesri baar dabocha, choda aur phir unse kaha-
"Padhye!! Apne Rabb ke naam se jisne paida kiya (har cheez ko).
Wo jisne paida kiya insaan ko jame hue khoon se.
Padhye!! Aur beshak tumhara Rabb bohot Kareem hai."
Ye ayate surah AL- ALAQ ki hai jo sabse pehle Muhammad ﷺ par nazil hui thi.
Khauf ki halat mei kapkapate hue Nabi ne ye ayate Jibrail Alayhis salaam ke sath dohraayi.
☆Muhammad ﷺ UMMI the yaani unhe padhna likhna nahi aata tha.
Isliye jab Jibrail Alayhis salaam ne unse kaha ke 'Padhye' to unhone kaha tha ke mujhe padhna nahi aata.]
