YAQOOB ‘ALAYHIS SALAAM UNDERSTOOD THE DREAM!!
As Yaqoob ‘alayhis salaam was also a prophet, he understood that this dream was an indication from ALLAH that Yusuf ‘alayhis salaam would be given the next prophethood.
(Also, the clear meaning of this dream will be revealed in the end of the story)
Yusuf ‘alayhis salaam and his younger brother, BENYAMIN were from the second wife of Yaqoob ‘alayhis salaam while the other 10 brothers were from his first wife.
So, these 10 brothers always had a jealousy from Yusuf ‘alayhis salaam and Benyamin because they assumed that their father loved these 2 brothers more than them.
Keeping all this in mind, Yaqoob ‘alayhis salaam told Yusuf ‘alayhis salaam not to tell this dream to their brothers as this will make them more jealous.
Yaqoob ‘alayhis salaam said to Yusuf ‘alayhis salaam -
"O my son! Don't tell your vision (dream) to your brothers because it is possible that they would arrange a plot against you. Verily, Shaitan is an open enemy of man."

Iska zikr Qur'aan mei aata hai ke Yaqoob ‘alayhis salaam ne Yusuf ‘alayhis salaam se kaha-
"Ae mere bete! Apna khwaab apne bhayyo ko mat batana kahi aisa na ho ke wo tumhare khilaaf koi chaal chal baithe. Yaqeenan, shaitan insano ka khula dushman hai."]
