5) AN IMPORTANT MISSION OF YAHYA ‘ALAYHIS SALAAM!!
One of the most important reasons why ALLAH sent Prophet Yahya was that he could WITNESS for the last prophet sent on Bani Israel i.e. PROPHET ISA ‘ALAYHIS SALAAM, because he (Isa ‘alayhis salaam) was born in an unnatural way which we will discuss later on.
Qur'aan mentions-
"..Yahya, confirming the Word from ALLAH (means the creation of Isa ‘alayhis salaam)" (3:39)
Prophet Yahya and Prophet Isa were COUSINS (peace be upon them) and were both present at the same time. They worked together on the people of Bani Israel.
But Yahya ‘alayhis salaam could not work for long and he was brutally KILLED by the people of Bani Israel.
There are many different stories as to how he was killed or murdered, but they do not carry any clear authenticity.
But the killing of Yahya ‘alayhis salaam along with many other messengers is summarised in Qur'aan pointing out on Bani Israel-
"Indeed, there came to you Messengers before me (Prophet ﷺ), with clear signs and even with what you speak of; why then did you KILL them, if you are truthful?" (3:183)
[Yahya ‘alayhis salaam ko dunya mei bhejne ki ek aur badi wajah ye thi ke wo Bani Israel mei bheje jane wale aakhri Nabi yani ISA ‘ALAYHIS SALAM KI TASDEEQ KAR SAKE kyuki unki paidaish ALLAH ki taraf se ek mojza hai (kyuki Isa ‘alayhis salaam ghair fitri tarike se paida hue the jiske baare mei hum aage padhenge).
Yahya ‘alayhis salaam aur Isa ‘alayhis salaam aapas mei COUSIN BHAI the.
Wo ek hi waqt mei mojood the to dono sath mei Bani Israel par kaam karte the.
Lekin Yahya ‘alayhis salaam zyada waqt tak kaam nahi kar sake kyuki unhe Bani Israel ke logo ne be-rehmi se QATL kardiya.
Iske baare mei kayi rivaayate hai ke unhe kyu aur kis tarah qatl kiya gaya lekin iski koi waaze daleel nahi hai.
Yahya ‘alayhis salaam ke qatl ke sath kayi aur rasoolo ke qatl ki baat Qur'aan mei Bani Israel ki taraf ishaara karte hue mojood hai ke-
"Beshak, tumhare paas humse pehle kayi rasool aaye, jo waaze nishaniyo ke sath aaye the.. to phir tumne unhe kyu qatl kiya tha agar tum sacche ho to?"]
