AND THE PLAN CONTINUED!!
Before throwing Yusuf ‘alayhis salaam in the well, the brothers snatched away his shirt too.
Then while returning home, they slaughtered a goat (or a sheep) and wiped it over the shirt of Yusuf ‘alayhis salaam to give evidence to their father.
Qur'aan mentions-
"And they came to their father in the early part of the night weeping (crying).
They said: O our father! We went racing with one another and left Yusuf to take care of our belongings and a wolf caught him but you will never believe us even when we speak the truth.
And they bought his shirt stained with false blood..."
(12:16-18)
[Yusuf ‘alayhis salaam ko kue me daalne se pehle, unke bhayyo ne unki kameez bhi cheen li thi aur phir wapis jaate hue kisi bakre ya bhed ko zibah karke uska khoon is kameez par laga diya taake apne walid ko saboot dikha sake.
Qur'aan mei aata hai-
"Maghrib ke baad jab andhera hona shuru ho gaya, us waqt wo ghar rote rote pohche.
Phir kaha-
Ae humare Abba jaan! Hum sab ek doosre ke sath daurh (race) laga rahe the aur Yusuf ko samaan ki hifazat ke liye choda hua tha, itne mei ek bhediya aaya aur usne Yusuf ko pakad liya lekin aap to hum par yaqeen karenge hi nahi chahe hum sach bhi bol rahe ho tab bhi.
Aur phir unhone wo khoon se lipti hui kameez apne walid ko dikhayi."]
