CRYING IS NOT AN EVIDENCE!!
According to Ibn Abbas, Yaqoob ‘alayhis salaam very well understood that his sons were lying and hiding the truth because he knew Yusuf ‘alayhis salaam was going to become a prophet so he must be definitely alive.
Moreover, the blooded shirt they bought was not torn out (because if the wolf attacked, the shirt must have been destroyed too.)
So, Yaqoob ‘alayhis salaam understood their trick.
Qur'aan mentions-
"He (Yaqoob) said- Nay, but your ownselves have made up a tale (false story), so (for me) patience is most fitting. And ALLAH is the only one to seek help against that what you describe."
(12:18)
[Ibn Abbas ki rivaayat ke mutabiq, Yaqoob ‘alayhis salaam ko bohot acche se samajh mei aa gaya tha ke unke bete jhoot bol rahe hai aur sacchai chupa rahe hai kyuki unhe maloom tha ke Yusuf ‘alayhis salaam Nabi banne wale hai aur wo yaqeenan zinda hai.
Aur jo khoon se lipti hui kameez wo log leke aaye the wo phati hui hi nahi thi (halaaki bhediye ne hamla kara hota to kameez sabse pehle phatti)
To Yaqoob ‘alayhis salaam unki chaal samajh gaye.
Qur'aan mei aata hai-
"Yaqoob ‘alayhis salaam ne unse kaha-: Nahi, balki tum logo ne ek jhooti kahaani ghad li hai, to sabr hi sabse behtar hai mere liye. Aur sirf ALLAH hi hai jisse madad talab ki ja sakti hai us baare mei jo tum bayaan kar rahe ho."]
